What evidence can you provide to support that there is love between Jocasta and Oedipus? If you don't think there is, what evidence do you have for that?
I think that Oedipus loved Jocasta but Jocasta did not love Oedipus in the same way. She was pleading for Oedipus not to find out about his past not to show her love for him, but to try to save herself and not have anyone know that she married her son. I also think that she obviously did not love him enough to stay alive for him because she committed suicide. It was selfish of her to do that and because of those things I do not think that she really loved him.
